Die Flotten sind mit Hubschraubern, GPS und Schallwellen ausgestattet. Im Jahre 1950 wurden weltweit rund 600.000 Tonnen Thunfisch pro Jahr konsumiert. Letztes Jahr wurden mehr als 6 Millionen Tonnen Thunfisch zwischen der kanadischen Prince Edward Insel und den Philippinen gefangen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Weil es immer mehr Schiffereiflotten gibt, sind einige Arten, wie der Blauflossen-Thunfisch, fast ausgestorben. Eine EU-Richtlinie, welche die Jagd der vom Aussterben bedrohten s\u00fcdlichen Blauflossen-Thunfische vor\u00fcbergehend verbieten sollte, wurde durch beteiligte L\u00e4nder, wie Spanien, Frankreich, Italien und Griechenland, nicht gehandhabt. Nach Sch\u00e4tzungen des World Wildlife Fund (WWF) wird der Atlantische Blauflossen-Thunfisch gegen Ende 2012 endg\u00fcltig von der Erde verschwunden sein. Fast alle handels\u00fcblich gefangenen Blauflossen-Thunfische, auch gro\u00dfer Thunfisch genannt, werden nach Japan geliefert. Er wird dort roh als Sushi und Sashimi gegessen. Wenn wir in dem derzeitigen Tempo weiterfischen, sind die Meere in 2048 leer.&#8220; Zur \u00c4nderung dieser Situation muss die Fischerei global beendet werden, beginnend mit den industriellen Fischtrawlern aus Japan, Europa und den USA. Ebenfalls m\u00fcssen gro\u00dfe Meeresschutz-Reservate angelegt werden, damit die Artenvielfalt in aller Ruhe wieder hergestellt werden kann.<\/p>\n<p>Quelle: Time Magazine vom 05.
