What is doner kebab?
Doner kebab is originally a Turkish meat dish made of lamb. Doner means rotating and refers to the meat on the vertical skewer. Layers of seasoned meat and fat are alternated on the skewer. The large one is heated and baked vertically in a standing grill. Slices are then cut from it with a special knife or an electric slicer.
This recipe proves that a doner kebab is also vegetarian and even vegan at least as tasty as the traditional variant!
